Teknopark Istanbul Highlights Innovation at IDEF 2025

We were proud to take our place at the opening day of IDEF 2025 International Defence Industry Fair, where Teknopark Istanbul showcased a wide range of advanced technologies developed by our ecosystem of tech-focused companies, entrepreneurs, and innovators. This year’s event brought together 22 official delegations from 100 countries and more than 1,400 participating companies, creating a highly dynamic environment for global collaboration.

Throughout the day, our General Manager, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Akyol, welcomed distinguished guests at our stand, including Sadullah Uzun, General Manager of National Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Technology; ASELSAN Board Members and Deputy General Manager Taha Yücel; as well as senior executives from Türkiye’s leading defence industry companies. These meetings provided valuable opportunities for mutual knowledge exchange and in-depth presentations of the next-generation defence technologies developed by the entrepreneurs within our ecosystem.

A variety of innovative products created by Teknopark Istanbul–based companies received significant attention during the fair. Highlights included:

  • A 25 cm nano unmanned helicopter developed by Uludoğan Defence Technology Inc., capable of operating even without GPS and recognized for its exceptionally quiet flight performance—designed for critical missions such as defence and search-and-rescue.
  • Alloy Additive, Türkiye’s largest producer of metal components using advanced 3D printing technologies, which attracted strong interest from visitors.
  • Proteo, a highly capable robotic dog created by Hyperever, equipped with thermal camera integration, capable of carrying up to 35 kg, and operating for up to 3.5 hours—capturing significant visitor attention.
  • Zeta Defence, whose fully domestically designed systems can monitor thousands of radio frequencies simultaneously and have been successfully used in the field for over a decade.
  • Quark Optical, developing highly sensitive devices capable of detecting even the faintest sounds and vibrations under debris—critical for disaster response operations and also applicable to mining and metro infrastructure.
  • Electra IC, showcasing an 8-channel frequency division multiplexing system designed specifically for the defence industry.
  • And EDGE Microwave, presenting reliable RF and microwave solutions to professional visitors with its cutting-edge technologies.

The opening day of IDEF 2025 once again highlighted Teknopark Istanbul’s role in strengthening Türkiye’s defence technology ecosystem and contributing to the national technology initiative. The event fostered new international partnerships, while the high-tech solutions developed by our entrepreneurs drew considerable global attention.

We look forward to welcoming all our stakeholders throughout IDEF 2025 as we continue showcasing the innovative technologies shaping the future of high-tech industries.
